I’m still here, folks.  Just been too busy to do any blogging.  I guess that’s good, yeah?  It seems I wrote the most when I was unemployed.  Hopefully this is a sign that perhaps the nation is headed back towards better times.  While you ponder that, please enjoy the greatest Christmas song ever written – Fairytale of New York by The Pogues.

I saw Jermaine Wells & The Ill Funk Ensemble play over the weekend in Oneonta at the legendary Black Oak Tavern.  In addition to some awesome originals, they do unreal renditions of popular songs like Sexy Back, I Want You Back, & others.  Going to the Oak was a last minute, late-night decision that I’m glad I made because I discovered these guys.

Their album, Catching Wreck can be purchased through iTunes.  It sounds pretty good, but if you ever get the chance to see them live I highly recommend it.  They’re based in Albany and play around the area often.
