1…The METS stink right now. I’m well aware. But that can’t last forever. One day, when their star players are not all on the DL, and their manager chooses to start their Ace the first game after the All Star break instead of the inconsistent freak they will be good again. If the world ended tomorrow, they’d be left with a losing legacy.
2…My morning coffee – it truly is the best part of my day right now.
3…Shedding that 15 lbs + the additional 5 lbs I’ve put on since being unemployed for a total of 20 lbs. I’d like to have the confidence that I won’t split the pants on my wedding suit….
4…My wedding. Hell, who am I kidding? Aside from the paperwork, blood tests, and a nice little party in Mexico we’re practically already married.
5…The next season of 24 – aka a reason to look forward to Monday…no, I don’t give a rat’s ass about Monday Night Football.
6…Future Esquire pictorials and videos featuring an almost nude Megan Fox, or a fully nude Mary-Louise Parker.
7…Comments from angry readers who don’t like when I rip Vincent Gallo, and then tell me I have a fat face. I learned something – one of the keys to being a blogger (or any time of writer, for that matter) is you need to have a thick skin and rather than get upset at such comments (I know I have a chubby face – it’s because I drink beer for breakfast), you kind of just have to go with them. Come up with something clever in return. I think I could have been a little more clever in that situation, and should the world end tomorrow I may not get that chance again. Sorry, Hugh. Or is it Greg? That’s the best you’re gonna get.

*No reason in particular why I chose seven. It just seemed to naturally flow.
Kal Penn gained fame as Taj in Van Wilder, then as Kumar in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. He then showed his serious side as Gogol in The Namesake.
He now tackles a bigger, and seemingly more important role as the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. I have no idea what the hell that is, but wow. Apparently his character on the Fox Network’s House committed suicide on last night’s episode. I saw the obituary as I was tuning in for 24, and of course it piqued my interest.
So now we can look for Mr. Penn doing his associate director in the White House office of public liaison thing instead of taking bong rips and fantasizing about a woman’s genitals.
Congratulations and good luck!

In honor of her triumphant return to 24, I give you Kim Bauer…

Your Crab has been a busy boy lately. Work is busy, I’ve been hard at work launching www.eatingbrooklyn.com, MLB has been settling arbitration (so soon we can talk baseball), and well TV has been pretty decent.
Favorites Big Love & 24 have started new seasons, and both have captured my undivided attention. Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations has also kicked off another season. Episode #1 was in Mexico. Makes me very excited for my Mexican wedding.
But back to 24. Aside from the relentless action sequences and dramatic government conspiracy theories people tend to forget how many babes have passed through that set. For the first few seasons it was Crabby favorite Elisha Cuthbert. Last season we were graced with Marisol Nichols as Nadia Yassir. HOT! This season, thus far is a little weak on the badass babes, but we have been graced with Carly Pope as Samantha Roth. I get the feeling she may be killed in the next episode, but any 24 fan knows that whatever gut feelings you get while watching the previews are usually wrong. I hope I’m wrong this time. I’ve enjoyed her limited screen time. I hope it continues.
